Utah County Health Department Brand

The Utah County Health Department needed a rebrand. Their current brand was very dated and not unified among all departments. I met with them to hone in on their core identity and brand personality. I created an entire brand system that could be used across all of their departments and communicate their core values of community, innovation, and wellness.

Brand Audit: I began by auditing their current brand to help explain to stakeholders outside the marketing team why a rebrand was necessary. It was dated and did not represent their desired brand identity. It also did not have the versatility they needed to integrate it across all of their various departments.

Moodboards: After meeting with the client and agreeing upon the core values, I created several mood boards that captured specific looks and feels. They gravitated towards one that was very colorful and emphasized diversity and community while still looking modern and clean.

Concepting: Several logos were created in black and white first, then narrowed down to the top three. Those logos were created in full color and mocked up on various media. The client eventually had me create a variation of their top logo pick that also was combined with Timpanogos mountain which is a landmark overlooking the entire county.

Full version and style guide: Once the final version of the logo was approved, I created a style guide detailing how to apply it across various media and situations. I created business cards, letterheads, a website style guide for future use, an email template, email signatures, and logo variations for the different departments. My team and I met with all the stakeholders in the organization to get everyone on board with what we developed and to explain how and why this rebrand better represented them to the public. They were very enthusiastic and excited about the new look and everyone was on board and offered their support. The rebrand was unveiled to the public through a press release and community meeting.
