Dirty Dough needed a website as part of their branding project. I worked through the various phases of the web design process and user testing to create a site that drives online sales and encourages delivery. The site needed to establish branding and a first impression of the product while also acting as an e-commerce site for cookie purchases.
Dirty Dough Cookies Website
Sitemap: I collaborated with the client to determine the main pages and structure of the site. We used this sitemap to guide the remainder of the website creation. We analyzed sales analytics of similar sites and came up with what turned out to be a winning structure.
Wireframes/User Testing: Using the sitemap as a guide, I created a wireframe for each webpage to lay out the structure and user experience (UX) for the site. The wireframe was prototyped and sent to the client. After initial approval, user tests were conducted to refine the layout and purchasing process. After determining the optimal structure for each page based on user research, the final designs were submitted to the client and received final approval.
Full Design/Final Testing/Development: Since the brand and style guide had already been established, the full design for the site integrated the brand guidelines and also expanded on them to create a visually appealing site that drives sales while communicating Dirty Dough’s personality. The site underwent another round of user testing, and small tweaks were made to further streamline the user journey. I worked with the web development team to prepare the design for coding and online publication. The site has been the primary driver of sales for Dirty Dough and is the primary marketing tool for the company.
